David Maisel’s powerful aerial photographs of industrial devastation of the earth were featured in an Orion web extra to the January/February 2007 Orion.

New work in his Black Maps series is featured at an exhibit at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C. through December 5. Much of that project can also be seen on Maisel’s website which we love.
