The Orion Grassroots Network’s coordinator, Erik Hoffner, was in Nashville recently for the annual meeting of the Environmental Capacity Builders Network. The member organizations of this group are, like OGN, working to support the environmental nonprofit sector. It was a great opportunity to tell others what Orion is doing for the grassroots, and learn from others with similar missions. Organizations who sent representatives include Environmental Support Center, Land Trust Alliance, Institute for Conservation Leadership, River Network, and many more. The group was housed by the Scarritt-Bennett Center in the middle of Nashville, which literally has a recording studio on every corner.
