Place Where You Live:

Portland, Oregon

Portland, where can I start where a place I almost never visited to a place I can now call home. I felt like a stranger coming to a new environment for school. Not knowing anyone and hardly knowing the streets of Portland, it had me feeling like an outcast. As time went on I started to feel more connected to Portland. Learning the streets and interacting with all the different cultures that PSU has to offer. Meeting people from all over the world and learning more about them and their past. As time passes, I feel like I belong here more and more. Taking new step every day, further and further into Portland, exploring and learning from everything it has to offer.

Trees, cars, buildings, and bikers all around us in every step we make. Seeing people walk in the streets of Portland every day to reach their destination. You walk pass hundreds of them; new faces every day; they are part of what makes up Portland. Coming to Portland is a peaceful feeling besides the traffic. Everyone is doing their own thing and if you need help they’ll lend you a hand. Portland is a home to me now. What was once an unknown territory to me has become a part of my daily life. Spending most my time here, even if it’s not my permanent home. Knowing that this is the place my future career may start is the exciting part of coming to Portland every day. For the next four years, this is where I’ll be. Exploring my new home and seeking everything it has to offer me.
