Aya de León directs the Poetry for the People program, teaching creative writing at UC Berkeley. She is the acquiring editor for Fighting Chance Books, the new climate justice fiction imprint at She Writes Press, the author of the award-winning feminist heist series, Justice Hustlers, and standalone climate novels, A Spy in the Struggle, Queen of Urban Prophecy, and That Dangerous Energy, as well as young adult and middle-grade novels The Mystery Woman in Room Three, Undercover Latina, and Untraceable. Aya co-founded The Daily Dose: Feminist Voices for the Green New Deal, and organizes with The Black Hive, the climate and environmental justice formation of the Movement for Black Lives.
