Place Where You Live:

Adelaide, South Australia

Terraced housing wrought iron decoration

I ended up in Adelaide after many years of living in other parts of the world. Growing up in rural Scotland, I appreciated the changing seasons and the connection with the land. Adelaide has much of what I remember of my childhood, without the awful weather. That said, I do miss the snow.

I feel very at home here in a way I never did during my decade in the United States. It is a friendly small scale city with everything I need. The architecture is interesting, the trees and flowers are vibrant and the sky is blue. Oh and did I mention that it is sunny a lot. There is a community feel that is quite unique. Oh and did I mention it is in Australia, a lovely country to live in.
